Hardcover. 579pp. Thick quarto [25 cm] Blue and red hardcover with a gilt stamped title on the spine, and a gilt stamped design on the front cover. Illustrated endsheets. Very good. The spine ends are gently bumped, and the spine is slightly rolled back. . There are several abraded nicks in the paper along the edges of the covers. The edges of the text block are mildly age toned, and the top edge of the text block is lightly foxed. There is a light scuff mark on the bottom edge of the text block. There is a former owner's blind stamp on the half title page. The pages are mildly browned. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Lightly rubbed and scratched. The edges are bumped. There is a stain on the paper at the foot of the spine that measures 3 and 1/2 inches wide by 1 inch deep. The stain is really only perceptible on the internal, non-visible side. The jacket is foxed on the internal side as well. There are numerous chips and short closed tears in the edges. The longest tear measures 1/2 inch deep. Item #30135
