The foot of the spine is slightly jammed and frayed. The edges of the text block are very subtly soiled and stained. There is a former owner's name with a previous owner's name and brief notation on the front pastedown. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Gently soiled. There is a bit of staining to the spine, and there are a couple of small losses from the paper at the foot of the spine. The larger loss measures 1/2 inch wide by 1/2 inch deep. There is also a tiny closed tear in the paper near the foot of the spine. Item #30669
Inscribed by the author on the front free endsheet. This book was nominated for the National Book Award in 1977.
