Boston: The Jefferson Press. Edition De Luxe. Hardcover. Octavo. 3/4 black bonded leather with marbled paper covered boards, and gilt stamped titles and decorative designs on the spines. Top edges gilt. Other edges deckled. Very good. The majority of the spines are very heavily sun faded, and a few of them are ever so slightly rolled forward or back. The extremities are very gently rubbed and bumped. There are minor small stains on the top edges of half of the text blocks. The edges of the endsheets are subtly darkened. The endsheets are also occasionally darkened along the hinges, and the fore edges of the pages are sporadically browned. Some uncut pages. The books are sturdy. There is a thin, 3/4 inch long chip in the leather along the top edge of the rear cover of volume 10. The underlying boards are just peeking through in this area. Item #32759
