The extremities are gently bumped and rubbed, and have numerous very light stains. The underlying boards are peeking through at the corners, and there are small chips in the cloth at the ends of the spine. The front pastedowns have a former owner's bookplates. Some of the hinges are a little soft. The pages are tanned, and the text blocks are occasionally fragile in places. There are thin light stains on the top fore edge corners of several of the text blocks. Pp. 253-256 of volume 4 are completely detached, but present. There are multiple small stains on the edges of the text block of volume 5. Item #32979
