New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1927. Mead Schaeffer. Hardcover. 384pp. Small quarto [24 cm] Black cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles on the spine and front cover, and an illustrated paper label mounted to the front cover. Illustrated endsheets. Good. The edges of the spine and covers are gently rubbed and bumped, and the boards are a little warped. The rear board is soiled, and the front joint shows a bit of soiling. The spine is ever so slightly rolled back. There is a bookseller's tiny label on the front free endsheet, and there is a contemporary gift inscription on the front flyleaf. There is a thin 2 inch long abraded area on the fore edge of the front free endsheet. The pages are yellowed. Internally, clean. The book is sturdy. Item #33145
