Publications of the Texas Folk-Lore Society Number V

Austin: Texas Folk-Lore Society, 1926. Hardcover. 190pp. Octavo [23 cm] Olive green cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles on the spine and front cover. Very good. There is a slight indentation that runs from the top to the bottom of the spine, and the spine is just a tiny bit rolled back. The edges of the spine and covers are barely perceptibly rubbed. There are a few very faint stains on the top edge of the rear cover. Minor soiling on the top edge of the text block. The front pastedown has a former owner's name and address in pen. The text block is just starting to crack at p. 79, and it is fragile in several places. Browned pages. Item #33184

With a typed letter from J. Frank Dobie tucked in. Contents include On the Origins of Reptile Myths, Superstitions of Bexar County, and Buffalo Lore and Boudin Blanc.

Price: $40.00
