The extremities are gently rubbed and bumped. The spines are subtly rolled. There are very minor scuff marks on the bottom edges of the text blocks. The front pastedowns have the publisher's announcement labels, and a previous owner's notations. The hinges are a little soft. The date has been written in pen on the title page of volume 1. The dust jacket of volume 1 is in good condition only, and the dust jacket of volume 2 is in very good condition. Both of the dust jackets are creased and mildly rubbed, and the spines are heavily sunned. There are multiple small losses from the edges of the dust jacket of volume 1.
