Item #34660 The Trail to Ogallala. Benjamin Capps.

The Trail to Ogallala

New York: Meredith Press, 1968. Fifth printing. Hardcover. 279pp. Octavo [21 cm] 1/4 brown cloth with tan decorative paper covered boards with a bold black ink stamped title on the spine, and a brown ink stamped cattle skull on the front cover. Very good. The spine ends are gently bumped, and the boards are just a tiny bit warped. There are a couple of small nicked indentations in the top edge of the rear cover. Slight spine slant. The top edge of the text block is slightly soiled, and there are several very small stains on the bottom edge of the text block. There is a contemporary gift inscription on the front pastedown. The binding is strong, and the pages are clean. With a dust jacket in very good condition. Subtly rubbed, age-toned and soiled. The spine of the dust jacket is sun faded. The edges are a little creased and chipped, and there is a 3/4 inch long closed tear in the bottom edge. Price-clipped. Item #34660
