Long Ride

New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1942. First edition. Hardcover. 233pp. Octavo [20 cm] Tan cloth covered boards with a brown ink stamped title and vignette on the spine. Very good. The spine ends are gently bumped, and the spine has a minor lean to it. There are several small nicks in the top edge of the text block. Slight darkening to the endsheets. There is a former owner's embossed stamp on the front free endsheet, and there is a bookseller's small bookplate on the rear pastedown. Yellowed pages. With a very good dust jacket. Mildly rubbed, age-toned, and with a faint trace of soiling. There are multiple small stains on the rear panel. The edges have numerous large chips and small closed tears. There is a tiny piece of tape backing one of the closed tears. Minor sunning to the spine. Item #34662
