Hardbound. 176pp. Duodecimo [19.5 cm] Red cloth with a gilt stamped title on the front cover, and a gilt stamped bonded leather title label on the spine. Decorative endsheets. Very good. The spine and covers are subtly rubbed and darkened, and the spine label is a little chipped along the left edge. There are several thin scratches on the front board. The most prominent scratch is slightly indented and measures 2 and 1/2 inches long. The top edge of the text block is darkened, and the pages are tanned. The text block is cracked at the preface page, however the book is still sturdy. Item #35508
Alfred Lambourne was born in England and subsequently moved to the American West with the Mormon pioneers. He is most remembered for his paintings, but he also wrote short fiction for Mormon periodicals.
