New York: Harper & Brothers, 1909. Author's National Edition. Hardcover. Duodecimo [19 cm] Red cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles on the spines. Very good. The extremities are gently bumped and rubbed, and a little darkened. Some spines sunned. There are occasional very subtle stains on the covers, and there are very small splits in the cloth here and there at the ends of the spines. The pages are age-toned. A handful of the text blocks are cracked or fragile in several places. The gilt on the spine of volume 4 is faded, and the spine of volume 7 has a small, dark stain. There is a light scribble on the top edge of the text block of volume 17. There is a 2" split in the cloth of volume 19 along the rear joint. The fore edge margins of roughly 12 of the pages in volume 21 are creased. There is a 1 and 1/2" bend in the front board of volume 24. *** Missing "Tom Sawyer Abroad." Item #35982
