The extremities are mildly rubbed and soiled, and the spine is heavily faded. A closed tear in the cloth at the head of the spine has been glued, and the cloth at the foot of the spine is a little frayed. There are several stains on the fore edge of the text block. The largest stain measures roughly 3/4" in diameter. With a previous owner's bookplate, designed by Hannes Bok, on the front pastedown.
