The spine is faded and a bit rolled, there is a small stamp from a bookseller on the front pastedown, and the pages are age-toned. The price-clipped dust jacket, illustrated by Edward Bawden, is in good condition. Darkened and age-toned. The bottom edge is subtly moisture stained. The edges are chipped and torn, and have several areas of loss. The largest loss measures 2" wide by 1" deep. The tears have been backed with 5 pieces of tape.
