Hardcover. 331pp. Duodecimo [19.5 cm] Light gray cloth covered boards with gilt, yellow, orange and black ornamental titles and vignettes on the spine and front cover. Black endpapers. Tipped in frontispiece portrait of the author. Good only. The extremities are mildly rubbed, soiled and bumped. The spine is darkened and heavily abraded, and there are numerous small splits in the cloth at the ends of the spine. The edges of the text block are foxed. The pages at the beginning (including the title page) have a previous owner's notations and stamps, and there is occasional light foxing on the margins of the pages.
