Hardcover. 431; 409pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Black cloth over boards with faded gilt lettering on the spines, and the author's monograph in gilt ovals on the front covers. Good plus. The spine and covers are moderately rubbed, bumped and faded, and the spines are just a little rolled. There is light foxing on the text block edges. The front hinges are a bit shaky, the text block of volume 1 is cracked a couple of times, and the text block of volume 2 is cracked at p. 231. Pencil notations on the front free endsheets.
