Hardcover. 228; 48pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Original brown cloth with a gilt stamped title and a large image of a confrontation between DeMilt and a huge snake stamped in gilt and black on the cover; title stamped in gilt and head of a lion on the spine. Floral endpapers. Twelve plates with tissue guards. Forty-eight pages of publisher's advertisements at the rear. Good condition only. General wear to surfaces and extremities. There is a small bookplate on the front pastedown, and a tiny ink stamp on the rear pastedown. The text block is cracked several times at the beginning. Some minor foxing.
