Volume Fifty-four, Great West and Indian Series. From the dust jacket- "Ralph Lopez had the stamina of a grizzly bear and the cunning of a wolf, and was determined to sell his life as dearly as possible. Suffering from frostbite, the desperado for five days led nearly 200 pursuers on a circular chase along the shore of Utah Lake and through the Lake Mountains." This manhunt eventually led to the Bingham Canyon mine, and is the only manhunt on record to take place in a mine. Lopez was never apprehended.
