Signed, with an original drawing of a farm house, by Eric Sloane on the front free endsheet. From the dust jacket- "Half a century ago, Sloane, then an itinerant sign painter, set out to see America. The 37 oil paintings in this book depict the landscapes, the villages, the houses- indeed, the spirit of that time; they are vintage Sloane, classic Americana."
