The edges of the covers are bumped and lightly rubbed. The dust jacket is in very good condition as well. The edges are mildly rubbed, bumped and chipped. The spine is barely perceptibly faded. Herman Charles Bosman was a South African writer and journalist who became famous for capturing the rhythms of backveld Afrikaans speech although he wrote in English. He is widely viewed as the greatest short-story writer to come out of South Africa.
