The Domestic Architecture of England During the Tudor Period

Boston: 1923. Hardcover. Folio [34.5 cm] 1/4 red cloth with brown paper covered boards and a decorative red ink stamped title on the front cover. Good. There is a succession of small stains in the form of adhered matter, on the rear board and rear joint. The underlying boards are exposed along the edges. There is a one inch loss from the head of the backstrip. There are several large splits in the cloth at the head of the spine. The longest tear measures 3 inches. There is a 1/4 inch loss from the cloth at the foot of the spine. The front hinge is broken, and the rear hinge is weak. The front pastedown has a former owner's ink stamp. The first couple of gatherings are a little loose. The text block is cracked at the center.Extra charges apply on this item due to weight. Item #26554
