The covers are gently rubbed and soiled, and the edges of the covers are gently bumped. The underlying boards are exposed along the edges.There is a 2 inch long white chalk mark on the front board. The spine is subtly rolled. There are multiple moisture stains on the top edge of the text block. There is a contemporary gift inscription on the front free endsheet. The endsheets are very mildly soiled. Many of the illustrations are very slightly offset on the opposite pages. Item #27116
