Top edge gilt. Very good. The covers are slightly rubbed and darkened. The spine is heavily faded. The corners of the covers are gently bumped. The edges of the endsheets are slightly darkened. There is a contemporary owner's name on the verso of the front free endsheet. There are very small light stains on the pages at the beginning and end of the text. The pages are slightly browned. This edition was first issued in 1899. Charles Lamb is famous for this work originally published in 1823.
