Kjobenhavn (Copenhagen): 1897. Danish. Leather bound. 476pp. Octavo [21.5 cm] 3/4 brown leather with black paper covered boards, and a gilt stamped title and decorative designs on the spine. Good. The spine is mildly rubbed, and the boards are heavily rubbed. The paper on the front board is slightly rippled. The corners of the covers are gently bumped, and there are multiple small losses from the edges, or close to the edges, of the paper on the boards, exposing the underlying boards. The rear board is very subtly stained. There is a thin open tear in the leather at the head of the spine that measures 3/4 of an inch deep. There is also a 1/4 inch crack in the front board along the joint at the head of the spine. The hinges are a little soft. There are multiple light stains on the endsheets. The text block is cracked multiple times, and the cords are visible in the inside margins of the pages episodically. The pages are heavily browned, and have very sporadic light stains. Pp. 227-238 are hanging on by a thread. There is a small closed tear in the top margin of p. 293. There is minor damp staining on the bottom edges of the pages at the end of the text. Item #31186
