There are multiple barely perceptible moisture stains on the covers. Some of the moisture stains are slightly rippled. The joints have been reinforced. Very subtle restoration work along the edges of the covers. The boards are lightly rubbed. There is a small indentation in the top edge of the rear cover. There is a small loss from the head of the spine that measures 3/4 of an inch wide by 1/4 of an inch deep at its deepest point. The title on the spine has faded. The front endsheet is subtly cracked along the hinge. There is a former owner's name on the front free endsheet. There is also a small closed tear in the fore edge margin of this page. There is a lengthy contemporary gift inscription on the verso of the front free endsheet. The edges of this page also have a small open tear, and a 1 and 1/2 inch long closed tear.
