Washington DC: Government Printing Office, 1902. Hardcover. 690pp. Quarto [29.5 cm] Green cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine, and blind stamped designs on the covers. Good only. Ex-library. The cloth covers are moisture rippled and stained. There are multiple bends in the boards. The cloth along the edges is slightly frayed, and the underlying boards are exposed at the corners. There are several splits in the cloth at the ends of the spine. The longest split is 1/2 of an inch long. There is a library label on the front pastedown. There is also a 4 inch long crack in the front pastedown. There are two small closed tears in the fore edge margins of the first couple of pages. Library markings on the title page. The text block is cracked numerous times, and the underlying cords are visible. Tanned pages. Very sporadic library marks in the text. Plate 23 is detached, but present. The plates are yellowed at the edges. A small amount of pages are adhered along the inside margins. A handful of pages have small moisture stains in the inside margins. Small open tears in the bottom edges of pp. 641 and 661. There is a 2 inch long closed tear in the fore edge margin of 659. Damp staining to the inside margin of plate at p. 662. The pages near the end are partially detached. All the plates are present. Item #33891
