New York: Viking Press, 1967. First edition. Hardcover. 345pp. Octavo [22 cm] 1/4 beige cloth with blue paper covered boards, a blue ink stamped title on the spine, and the author's initials stamped in blue ink on the front cover. Good. The spine is rolled, and the spine ends and edges of the covers are gently bumped. The ink stamped title on the spine is a little rubbed, and the cloth of the spine is very slightly foxed. There are several barely perceptible stains on the boards. The underlying boards are peeking through at the bottom right corner. The front hinge is a bit shaky. There are two large, dark tape stains on the edges of the front free endsheet. With a dust jacket in good condition. Age-toned, and mildly rubbed, soiled and creased. The edges are slightly chipped, and have several small open tears and numerous closed tears. The longest closed tear measures just over an inch long. There are two tape stains on the rear inside flap. The spine of the dust jacket is a bit faded. Item #33960
