Folio [39 cm] Sixty-six illustrations on loose plate pages, with a table of contents page, and housed between two panels with pictorial paper over boards. The panels are secured with string ties at the top, fore, and bottom edges. Very good. The panels are moderately rubbed and soiled, and the front panel has multiple small damp stains, two tiny dark ink stains, and a light tide mark along the bottom quarter. The underlying boards are exposed along the edges, with a more prominent area of exposure at the bottom fore edge corner of the rear panel. There is a contemporary gift inscription on the front pastedown. Complete. All plates present. The plates are toned, and have sporadic small chips and short closed tears in the edges. Scarce.
