Hardcover. 261pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] Dark green cloth over boards with gilt stamped titles and embellishments on the backstrip and front board. Illustrated with numerous plates and a fold-out Map of Hartford- 1788, showing residences or business locations of the original founding members. The book is minimally bumped and rubbed at the extremities, and the text block is just beginning to crack at p. 175. The jacket has multiple large tears (mostly closed) which have been backed with tape. Very good / fair. Item #47579
