This classic of Chicano literature tells the story of a young man's coming-of-age in a small New Mexico town. The first edition was published simultaneously in hardcover and paperback, with the same price ($3.75) mistakenly printed on both formats. New jackets were printed when the error was discovered, with a $6.75 cover price. The second-state jacket is also about 1/4" shorter than the book itself.
