Dust-jacket is chipped severely along the edges. There is a 5" closed tear running the majority of the jacket's face. Front flap of dust-jacket has a three and a half inch tear running up from the foot of the fold. There are some dark stains on the dust-jacket spine. Previous owner's name and date of December 1929 written on recto of front free endpaper. There is a spot of discoloration to the recto front free endpaper at upper corner. Very good / fair. Kin Hubbard was named "America's greatest humorist" by Will Rogers. Hubbard's Abe Martin series ran from 1904 to Hubbard's death in 1930. The Abe Martin series was well known for its gags and popular sayings. The characters speak with heavy rural accents and they are located in Brown County, Indiana.
