Both views were taken from the Boston building on Main Street looking north. The image on the left is titled: 'June 21, 1946 Main Street Before Track Removal by Salt Lake City Lines.' The image on the right is titled: Oct. 3, 1946 Main Street After Track Removal, Paving and Construction of Loading Zones by Salt Lake City Lines." The titles are shown over the Judge Building.
Nice views of Salt Lake portraying a bustling mid-century Main Street. The tracks that were removed, appear to be where the Trax line would be laid half a century later.
