From Ken: The title phrase popped into my head one night at 3:00 am last fall. I awoke, turned the light on, grabbed a pen and pad and wrote it down. I have learned that when the muse strikes, you ignore her at your own peril. The rest of the poem just pretty much flowed out of the ether into my head and onto the paper. I consider it a pandemical poem. Claire Taylor very successfully transformed the meaning of my words into a nightmarish vision of the Minotaur of my dreams on paper. Her hand lettering is spot on, and her artwork is as lovely as the Minotaur is not.
