From Publisher: Here is the story of the adventures of Solemn Johnson and Dirty Shirt Smith, two old prospectors who discover a borax mine in Southern California quite by accident and find themselves millionaires over night. From here on their adventures unfold briskly and at a rapid pace — adventures of a decidedly quixotic nature. All of its is colored by a great deal of humor — in fact, it is a book which is a sure cure for the blues, for it is impossible to read it without getting many a good laugh. Through his particular ability for clever character delineation the author makes Solemn Johnson and Dirty Shirt Smith two lovable desert rovers and produces a book that is altogether good fun.
