The concept for this book was initiated by Rose Slivka, curator for the exhibition in 1979 "The Book as Art and Artist". A collaboration between artist and bookbinder, the book containing original drawings, etchings, and photographs by Warren Brandt was handbound by Mindell Dubansky at the Center for Book Arts.
