New York: Privately Printed for The Sylvan Press, 1947. Limited edition. Hardcover. 123pp. Quarto [27 cm] Black cloth covered boards with yellow ink stamped titles and designs on the spine and front cover. Frontispiece and a few illustrations in the text. Small brown spot to rear hinge, and numerical ink stamp on rear pastedown. In a clear jacket (trimmed short) with printed blurb (rippled) mounted to front jacket flap. The jacket has a few small closed and open tears to the edges. Very good. Item #61223

From the limitation page- "This large paper edition, designed by Lewis F. White, is limited to 1499 numbered copies for the United States and the same number for the British Empire. Ten unnumbered copies have been struck off for reviewers. Number 399."

A bawdy epic poem, of which Louis Untermeyer says: "And first and last it lives. Wildly, cheaply, drunkenly, filthily, and accurately, it lives..."
