Known for its interesting plot structure divided into a frame narrative: readers are introduced to two writers: a novelist and screenwriter. Readers are then immersed in the fictional work they resurrect together, which is set in a dystopic universe Huxley is famous for painting. Using a setting after mass nuclear destruction and "World War Three", a post apolocalyptic society emerges which engages in annual orgies and ritualistic murder of babies with cancerous effects from radiation. Its iconic vignettes of baboons performing 20th century human daily tasks add an extra layer of haunting thrill.
