This book is scarcely found in this condition and is important historically as a retrospective of early 20th century beliefs and practices surrounding medicine. The interactive anatomical diagrams are especially noteworthy. Chart I, "A Picture of Good Health", which features several layers of the human head shows the overly simplified understanding of the brain at the time. With discussions of consumption, sexually transmitted diseases, abortion, herbal remedies, sex, warnings against young men smoking, and even marriage and gender roles.
