Leather bound. 548pp. Small quarto [24.5 cm] Red bonded leather with gilt lettering and elaborate blind stamped illustrations on the boards. All edges gilt. Ex-library (legitimately deaccessioned) with library numbers on the spine and library markings on the rear endpaper. Dark stain in top fore-edge corner of rear cover (measures approximately 2" wide by 1/2" deep at it's deepest point; 2" split in the front endpaper along the hinge and text block just beginning to pull away from the backstrip; previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown; Presentation Page has been filled out (dated Feb. 15th, 1896").
