The text of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass in one volume, illustrated with the black and white artwork of Tenniel, plus a color frontis and 6 additional color plates by Brandywine artist, Elenore Abbott. Illustrator, scenic designer, and painter Elenore Plaisted Abbott (1875-1935) was born in Lincoln, Maine. She studied at the Philadelphia School of Design for Women, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and the Drexel Institute with Howard Pyle. She was known for both book and magazine illustrations.
