Visit Ken Sanders Rare Books for this free event when the bookstore hosts author Scott Abbott, from Woodland Hills, Utah. Scott is a Professor of Integrated Studies, Philosophy and Humanities at Utah Valley University. His scholarly work includes literary-critical articles on Goethe, Schiller, Kleist, Thomas Mann, Rilke, Grass, and Handke. He is the author of Fictions of Freemasonry: Freemasonry and the German Novel (Wayne State University Press) and of two books with Žarko Radakovic: Ponanvljanje (Repetitions) and Vampiri & Razumni recnik (Vampires & A Reasonable Dictionary )--the English versions with punctum books, Brooklyn. With Sam Rushforth, he wrote the series “Wild Rides, Wild Flowers: Biking and Botanizing the Great Western Trail” which appeared for four years in Catalyst Magazine and then was published as a book with Torrey House Press: Wild Rides and Wildflowers: Philosophy and Botany with Bikes. Reviews of his work have appeared in The Bloomsbury Review, Open Letters Monthly, The Salt Lake Observer, and Catalyst Magazine.
