One of Utah's most famous and beloved animals, Bart the Bear (1977-2000) was a movie and television star trained by Doug and Lynne Seus. Because of Bart’s success, in 1990 the Seuses created the vital ground foundation. Vital Ground works in the northern Rocky Mountains to conserve land for grizzly bears and other wildlife. As a land trust, they focus on private lands that connect larger wild strongholds, building lifelines for grizzlies and all things wild.
