Ken Sanders Rare Books is pleased to announce a reading and book signing featuring poets Lisa Fay Coutley, Timothy O’Keefe, & Valerie Wetlaufer on Wednesday, November 30th at 7:00 p.m. at our downtown bookstore (268 South 200 East). Copies of the poets’ books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. This event is free and open to the public.

Lisa Fay Coutley is the author of In the Carnival of Breathing, winner of the Black River Chapbook Competition (Black Lawrence Press, 2011), and Back-Talk, which won the ROOMS Chapbook Contest (Articles Press, 2009). She is a doctoral fellow and poetry editor for Quarterly West at the University of Utah. Her work has appeared recently or is forthcoming in Best New Poets 2010, Third Coast, Hayden’s Ferry Review, American Poetry Journal, RHINO, Barn Owl Review, and on Verse Daily.

Timothy O’Keefe is the author of The Goodbye Town, winner of the 2010 FIELD Poetry Prize. His poems have appeared in The American Poetry Review, Boston Review, Conjunctions, Denver Quarterly, Indiana Review, New American Writing, and elsewhere. He has been awarded an Academy of American Poets prize and scholarships to attend the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and Tin House Summer Writer’s Workshop. He holds degrees from Middlebury College, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Utah.

Valerie Wetlaufer is a birth doula and poet. She is currently a doctoral fellow in English and Creative Writing at the University of Utah, where she is one of the Poetry Editors for Quarterly West. She also holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Florida State University and an MA in Teaching from Bennington College. Her poems and reviews have appeared in Drunken Boat, Main Street Rag, PANK Magazine, Word Riot and Bloom.
