210pp. Octavo [22 cm] Blue cloth covered boards with a green and white ink stamped title on the spine. Very good. The edges of the covers are gently faded, rubbed and bumped. Slight spine slant. The top edge of the text block is foxed. There is an old price sticker on the rear free endsheet. The pages are lightly yellowed. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Mildly rubbed and soiled. The edges are slightly chipped and creased. There is a large chip in the paper at the head of the spine, and there is a small closed tear in the top edge of the front panel.

From the jacket- "In a collection of essays and open letters from California's Folsom State Prison, Eldridge Cleaver writes about the forces which shaped his life and which are currently molding our national destiny. His prose has the terrifying lucidity of a calm before the storm."
