Illustrated endsheets. Very good. The edges of the covers are gently bumped and rubbed. Slight spine slant. There is a former owner's name and address in large pen on the front pastedown. The half title page has a former owner's bookplate. The pages are slightly yellowed. The dust jacket is in poor condition. One half of the front panel is missing. What is left of the jacket is torn, moisture rippled, darkened and slightly stained. Item #26787

Illustrated by the Author. Born in Canada, Ernest DuFault left home at the age of 15 and traveled west to seek out his dream. He became the American cowboy, Will James. Beginning at the bottom, he worked and became a top hand. Handling rough horses filled his days and became the basis for many of his books.
