Salt Lake City, Utah: Deseret News Company, 1890. First edition. Hardcover. 480pp. Octavo [24 cm] Black cloth covered boards with gilt and blind stamped titles on the spine and front cover. The cloth at the spine ends is chipped, there is a moisture stain in the top right corner of the text block, and the underlying boards are exposed occasionally along the edges. The endsheets are split along the hinges, and the text block is coming away from the backstrip. There are moisture stains in the top edges of the pages. The largest and darkest stains are on pp. 319-331. The largest stain affects the plate The Pioneer Women of Utah. It is 2 and 1/2 inches deep by 5 and 1/2 inches wide. Fair. Item #27684
