Washington DC: Government Printing Office, 1877. Hardcover. Very thick quarto [30 cm] Dark brownish red cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine. Good. The covers are gently rubbed. The corners of the covers are bumped. There is a 2 inch long split in the front board along the joint, at the foot of the spine, and there is a 1 inch long split in the joint at the head of the spine. There are several small light stains on the covers. The edges of the text block are heavily foxed. There is as former owner's name stamped in ink on the top edge of the text block. There are 1/4 inch losses from the ends of the spine. The hinges are weak, and the text block is cracked at the center. The pages are browned. The pages at the beginning and end are lightly foxed.
