SIGNED. 479pp. Large octavo [24 cm] 1/4 brown cloth with yellow paper covered boards and a gilt stamped title on the spine. Illustrated endsheets. Very good. The covers are very slightly concave, and have multiple small light stains. The edges of the covers and spine are rubbed and bumped. There are several tears in the cloth at the foot of the spine. Slight spine roll. The underlying boards are peeking through at the bottom left corner. There is a very small pen mark on the front inside flap. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Mildly browned. The edges are creased, and the spine is subtly faded. There is a 1/4 inch closed tear in the bottom edge.


Inscribed by Irving Stone on the half title page. Irving Stone's first biographical novel was Lust for Life (Vincent Van Gogh).
