Some Natural Things

Norfolk, CT: A New Directions Book, 1945. Hardcover. SIGNED. 47pp. Sextodecimo [18.5 cm] Sea green cloth covered boards with a gilt stamped title on the spine. Very good. The spine and covers are a little age-toned. The corners of the covers are just a little bumped. Minor spine lean. There are a couple of very tiny splits in the cloth at the foot of the spine. The previous owner has made a notation that the book was personally given to him by Laughlin, on the top edge of the front free endsheet. The dust jacket is in good condition. The paper on the spine is darkened. There are numerous very small losses from the edges. There are also some closed tears in the edges. The closed tears at the spine ends have been backed with clear tape. The longest closed tear measures 1 inch long. There are 5 or 6 small or very small stains on the jacket. Despite these flaws the jacket is still quite attractive. Item #31619

Inscribed by the author on the front free endsheet. James Laughlin created New Directions Publishers.
