294pp. Octavo [20 cm] Dark red cloth covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover, and a gilt stamped Native American bust on the front cover. Top edge trimmed, other edges deckled. Good. The extremities are gently bumped and rubbed. In a good only dust jacket, with multiple small open tears in the creased edges. The text block is cracked a couple of times. The jacket's and edges of the panels are heavily sunned.

From the dust jacket- "In addition to giving an unforgettable picture of Navajo life, the author tells a pretty story of the burning love of a beautiful Indian maid for a handsome young white man."
