238pp. Quarto [28 cm] 1/2 blue cloth with blue denim-effect paper covered boards, a light green ink stamped title on the spine, a border and design stamped in white on the front cover, and the publisher's green top stain. With the pictorial dust jacket, featuring the photograph by Keith Haxby. Very good. The edges of the spine and covers are subtly sunned and bumped, and the endsheets are mildly faded. The hinges are a little weak. In very good condition, with mild rubbing on the surface, and subtle age-toning. The surface is also a bit scratched. The longest scratch is on the front panel, and measures 9" long. There are a fair number of short closed tears in the edges.

Ken Kesey is an American writer and cultural figure who entered the literary world in 1962 with his instant classic, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and followed it two years later with Sometimes A Great Notion. He took a hiatus from writing novels for many years to participate in a series of whacky pranks and intrepid trips, interspersed with shorter written works at irregular intervals.
